The Sports Video Group is delighted to have Nemal Electronics as a new corporate sponsor. Based in North Miami, FL, the company is a U.S. manufacturer of a wide range of fiber optic, copper, and hybrid electronic cable, connectors, cable assemblies, and custom panels, for A/V Mobile, and sports broadcasting. Products include LEMO SMPTE and Neutrik opticalCON cables, adapters, reelers, HD/3G/12G audio, video and hybrid cable, tactical fiber, RF cables, and our patented DT-12 connectors.

"Our industry is recovering from the greatest challenge of our generation and we expect that sports will be the shining star," says Ben Nemser, CEO, Nemal Electronics. "The past year gave us the opportunity to focus more than ever on R&D for our sports cabling products including tactical SMPTE Cable, Camera Jib Fiber Mux Boxes, and Hi-Rel Intercom/Headset Adapters. We also made major upgrades to our plant and equipment and remain the leading US cable manufacturer specializing in Sports/Mobile Broadcast.

Nemal specializes in the manufacturing of extra flexible and rugged high-power AVflex UL rated speaker and lighting cables, either in bulk or custom terminated with Neutrik powerCON, or speakON, or Socapex connectors. The company also distributes a lineup of audio products, including AVflex microphone and snake cables in 2-54 channel. Fiber products include custom SMPTE panels, pigtails, adapters, and fiber cleaning kits. Lastly, Nemal's FOCC24 series SMPTE 311 Camera Cable, approved by both LEMO and Neutrik, is available in multiple variations (studioflex, rugged outdoor, tactical, water-block Riser rated, and mini-Steadicam). Nemal is continuing to innovate for even more producted, including the development of CAT6 snakes and a family of hi-rel XLR intercom/headset adapters.

In this calendar year, the company has received a Technology and Engineering Emmy Award for their Stadium-4 Plenum SMPTE cable. Together with the Nemal FOPA panel system, Stadium-4 substantially reduces installation time and cost for multi-camera installations in stadiums and other large facilities. The company also offers HDTV fiber system design, training, and onsite support.

More recently, MTJIBS, a South Florida production house, tapped Nemal for high-profile production needs on four different shows including Space X's launch at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. MTJIBS's new G1 Shotover had to move at high speeds while maintaining perfect balance. The team was required to connect multiple cables to the head unit. This restricted movement and compromised the system's balance. Having worked with Nemal in the past, the MTJIBS team brought Nemal both their G1 system and the challenges they were facing with it. The Nemal engineering team worked with MTJIBS to design, engineer and manufacture an integrated fiber and connection system specifically for their rig.

"Joining SVG was an obvious and timely choice for Nemal," adds Nemser. "We hope to work even closer with the sports industry and develop user-friendly products that both meet the new standards and maintain that performance under real world conditions."
